AI Tutorial
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the field of computer science that builds systems which can do tasks we normally connect with human thinking: understanding language, recognising pictures, making predictions and making decisions.
In 2026, AI is everywhere. Students use chatbots like ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude to study. Shops in Karachi use AI to answer customer messages on WhatsApp. Banks use it to catch fraud. Knowing how AI works, and where it fails, is now a basic skill for every student and professional.
This tutorial explains AI from zero, without heavy maths and without hype.
What You Will Learn
- What AI is, and what it is not
- A short history of AI, from early ideas to today's chatbots
- The difference between machine learning and deep learning
- How neural networks and large language models work, in simple words
- Computer vision, and AI in daily life and in Pakistan
- Ethics, bias and safety
- Careers in AI and how to get started
A Tiny Example
Here is a very small idea of "learning from data" in Python. The program looks at past examples and finds the average, then uses it to guess.
Example
marks = [72, 80, 65, 90, 78]
guess = sum(marks) / len(marks)
print("Expected mark of the next student:", guess)Expected mark of the next student: 77.0
Real AI is far more advanced, but the core idea is the same: use data to make a useful guess.
Exercises and Quiz
Every lesson ends with a short exercise, and the last lesson is a quiz on the whole tutorial.

What to Learn After AI
Next, learn how today's AI creates text and images in the Gen AI Tutorial, and how to talk to it well in the Prompt Engineering Tutorial. If you want to build AI yourself, continue with the Machine Learning Tutorial.
Want to learn with a teacher? The Workownix AI course covers AI tools, prompting and practical projects, online or at our institute in Orangi Town, Karachi.
