Intro to Programming Tutorial
Programming means writing instructions that a computer can follow. Every app on your phone, every website and every game was made by someone writing these instructions.
This tutorial is for people who have never written code before. You do not need to be good at maths, and you do not need an expensive computer. You only need curiosity and a little patience.
Why Learn Programming?
- It teaches you to break a big problem into small, clear steps
- It opens the door to jobs in web development, apps, data and AI
- It lets you automate boring work, like adding up a shop's daily sales
- It is a skill you can use for freelancing from anywhere, including Karachi
Two Languages, Side by Side
Each lesson shows tiny examples in Python and JavaScript next to each other. The ideas are the same in both; only the spelling changes. Here is a first program in each:
Example
print("Assalam o Alaikum, Ali!")Example
console.log("Assalam o Alaikum, Ali!");Assalam o Alaikum, Ali!
Both programs tell the computer to show one line of text.
What You Will Learn
- What programming is and how a computer runs your code
- Variables: storing names, numbers and prices
- Conditions: making decisions with if and else
- Loops: repeating work without copying code
- Functions: packing steps into reusable blocks
- Debugging, and which language to learn first
