Prompts for Study
Used well, an AI chatbot is like a patient tutor that is available at any time.
Learn, Don't Just Copy
The goal of a study prompt is to make you understand. Ask the AI to explain, question and correct you, not to do your homework. Always follow your school's rules about AI.
Explain Simply
Example
Explain Newton's third law to a Class 9 student.
Use one example from cricket and one from daily life in Karachi.
Keep it under 120 words. Then ask me one question to check.Use an Analogy
Example
Explain how the internet sends data using an analogy of
sending parcels through a courier service like TCS.Analogies connect new ideas to things you already know.
Practice Quizzes
Example
Quiz me on the causes of World War I. Ask 5 multiple-choice
questions, one at a time. Wait for my answer each time,
then tell me if I was right and explain in 2 sentences.You can also make your own quick quiz in Python from notes the AI helped you write:
Example
quiz = [
("What is the chemical symbol for water?", "H2O"),
("How many sides does a hexagon have?", "6"),
]
score = 0
answers = ["H2O", "8"] # pretend these are the student's answers
for (question, correct), given in zip(quiz, answers):
if given.strip().lower() == correct.lower():
score += 1
print(f"Score: {score}/{len(quiz)}")Score: 1/2
Study Plans
Example
Make a 2-week study plan for my intermediate Physics exam.
I can study 2 hours on weekdays and 4 hours on weekends.
My weak topics are electricity and waves. Show it as a table:
Day, Topic, Task, Time.Feedback on Your Writing
Example
Here is my essay introduction. Do not rewrite it.
Give me 3 specific suggestions to improve clarity and grammar,
and point out the best sentence.
<essay>
...paste your paragraph here...
</essay>Asking for feedback instead of a rewrite keeps the work yours and teaches you more.
Flashcards
Example
Turn these notes into 10 flashcards. Format each as:
Q: ...
A: ...
Notes: (paste notes)The same format is easy to turn into a list in code:
Example
cards_text = """Q: What is RAM?
A: Short-term memory used while the computer is on.
Q: What is a CPU?
A: The chip that runs program instructions."""
lines = cards_text.splitlines()
cards = list(zip(lines[0::2], lines[1::2]))
print(len(cards), "flashcards")
print(cards[1][0])2 flashcards Q: What is a CPU?
Check the Facts
AI can be wrong, especially on exact dates, formulas and syllabus details. Compare important points with your textbook or teacher's notes.
A powerful habit: after studying a topic, explain it back to the AI in your own words and ask, "What did I get wrong or miss?"
