Prompts for Business and Marketing

For business, the best prompts include your brand, your customer, your offer and the exact channel where the text will be used.

The Business Prompt Formula

PartExample
Business"Sana's Kitchen, home-cooked lunch boxes in DHA, Karachi"
Customer"office workers aged 25-40"
Offer"Rs 450 lunch box, free delivery on 5+ orders"
Channel"Instagram caption", "WhatsApp broadcast", "Facebook ad"
Tone"friendly and trustworthy"
Limits"under 50 words, 1 call to action"

Social Media Posts

Example

text
Write 3 Instagram captions for Sana's Kitchen, a home-cooked
lunch box service in DHA, Karachi, for office workers.
Offer: Rs 450 per box, free delivery on 5 or more boxes.
Tone: friendly. Each under 40 words with one call to action
and 3 hashtags. Give one in English and two in Roman Urdu.

Product Descriptions

Example

text
Write a product description for an online store.
Product: men's leather wallet, genuine cow leather, 6 card slots,
dark brown, made in Sialkot.
Audience: young professionals. Length: 60-80 words.
End with 4 short bullet points of key features.

Customer Replies

Example

text
A customer complains their order arrived 3 days late.
Write a polite WhatsApp reply that apologises, explains that
courier delays happened due to rain, and offers 10% off the
next order. Under 50 words. Do not blame the customer.

Freelancing Proposals

Example

text
Write a short Upwork proposal for this job: "Need a WordPress
website for a dental clinic, 5 pages, booking form."
I have built 12 WordPress sites. Mention one relevant detail
from the job, my experience, a 7-day timeline and one question
for the client. Under 150 words. No generic praise.

Generic proposals are easy to spot. Ask the AI to use details from the job post.

Making Many Prompts at Once

If you have many products, build prompts in a loop instead of typing each one:

Example

python
products = [
    ("Lawn suit", "Rs 3,500", "summer"),
    ("Pashmina shawl", "Rs 6,000", "winter"),
]
for name, price, season in products:
    print(f"Write a 30-word Instagram caption for a {name} "
          f"priced {price}, perfect for {season}.")
Output
Write a 30-word Instagram caption for a Lawn suit priced Rs 3,500, perfect for summer.
Write a 30-word Instagram caption for a Pashmina shawl priced Rs 6,000, perfect for winter.

Simple Analysis

You can paste numbers and ask for insights, but check the maths yourself:

Example

python
monthly_sales = {"Jul": 82000, "Aug": 95000, "Sep": 120000}
months = list(monthly_sales)
for a, b in zip(months, months[1:]):
    change = (monthly_sales[b] - monthly_sales[a]) / monthly_sales[a] * 100
    print(f"{a} to {b}: {change:.1f}%")
Output
Jul to Aug: 15.9%
Aug to Sep: 26.3%

Then prompt: "Sales grew 15.9% and then 26.3%. Suggest 3 reasons and 3 ideas to keep growing for a small clothing shop."

Rules for Business Use

  • Check every price, date, phone number and promise before posting.
  • Do not let AI invent fake reviews or claims ("No. 1 in Pakistan") you cannot prove.
  • Keep customer data private; do not paste customer lists into public tools.
  • Edit the text so it sounds like your brand, not like every other AI post.

Save your best prompts in a document. A good prompt library is a real business asset.
